Dr.Jonathan Elmore explained upfront what to expect with my tooth extraction. While he did the procedure, he explained step by step what was going on and what I could expect. I appreciated very much knowing what was happening as it happened. He’s an awesome dentist and I highly recommend him. Mi experiencia en este lugar fue muy preocupante y poco profesional.Desde mi primera visita, presenté mi seguro y me confirmaron que lo aceptaban. No recomiendo este lugar si buscan transparencia, respeto y claridad en los procesos.My experience at this place was very concerning and unprofessional.From my first visit, I presented my insurance and was told that it was accepted. Despite this, I was charged $50 at the time and informed that I would need to pay an additional $180. As an older patient, I trusted the information I was given.Later, I verified directly with my insurance, and they confirmed that I should not have to pay anything at all. When I returned to the facility, the front desk staff themselves acknowledged that I had no outstanding balance.However, when I requested a refund of the $50, the only response I received was, “you signed it,” with no explanation, no review, and no effort to resolve the situation.What is most concerning is that I have now received a letter stating that I am “not compatible as a patient,” which is completely inappropriate, unjustified, and contradictory—especially after they had already agreed to treat me from the beginning.This type of handling creates distrust, reflects poor administrative ethics, and leaves a lot to be desired in terms of patient care and respect. I do not recommend this place if you are looking for transparency, respect, and clear processes.

I have experienced several cleanings, fillings and Invisalign services through their office. Had to find a new dentist as mine had retired. Called in for an appointment at Debary Dentistry for a broken front tooth. They got me in the next day. Walked in to the most friendly office. Helpful, kind and patient. Dentists have always made me so nervous. They were all so considerate of this and asked me several times if I was doing okay. Dr. Nathan Prino, DDS was amazing, thorough and had my tooth fixed that day. I just had to come back for the permanent crown. Will most definitely make this my office for all my dental needs. I’ve been seeing Estrella as my dental hygienist for the past year, and I honestly can’t say enough amazing things about her. She has truly gotten me right! My teeth and overall oral health have improved so much under her care.What sets Estrella apart is not just her skill, but her heart. Dr Wells is the best dentist! His hygienist was amazing as well and now my daughter refuses to see anyone else! Today my daughter was extremely nervous at her regular cleaning that something might be wrong with a tooth. They reassured her super quick and eased her mind! Dr. Pirino and Kelsey did an amazing job of installing a permanent crown for me. I am 76 and they were extremely kind and patient with my limitations. I have many crowns, all done by excellent dentists, yet this was the best crown i have had installed. I would recommend them to any one requiring dental care.

6/22/23 I couldn’t take the pain that started yesterday in a tooth. I showed up at DeBary Dentistry unannounced at 7:45am. They took me back RIGHT AWAY! Doc Wells worked some magic and wrote a script for an antibiotic. Hoping that does the trick. But everyone I came in contact with in their office was GREAT! (Drat, didn’t hit “Post”, so posting this nowWell, the above never posted. Anyway, today 10/24/23 went in for a cleaning. Waited a whole 4 minutes and was called back. Cate was fantastic and educational. In & out in no time. I highly recommend DeBary Dentistry!12/12/23 Had to have an old filling (put in by Moses) replaced. Doc Wells made it absolutely painless! He and his team are fantastic!03/04/25 previous dates didn’t post for some reason.Today just a cleaning, but from the moment I walked in until I left, everything was as smooth as silk. My tech knows her stuff and explains everything she’s doing and why. Doc Wells came in and checked everything out, shows great interest and pleasant to do business with.

I just finished the process for my first dental work with Dr. Wells. EXCELLENT! My crown turned out to be more involved than normal. Dr. Wells took his time and made sure it was perfect. He always made sure I was comfortable, and the final crown feels so natural, that I realized a few hours after the appointment, that I was chewing on that side without any hesitation. The front desk is warm and organized. The Assistants and my Hygienist were friendly, efficient, and always checking on my comfort level. I have a treatment plan and no hesitation to return for what has been recommended.

Along with the skillful repair work of DeBary Dentists like Dr. Calhoun, they have helped me greatly on the maintenance side. Yesterday Ariana spent a long time cleaning my teeth and performing procedures to ensure their health. Then a very important phase of all things medical is the insurance and the labyrinth of government bureaucracy when you’re on Medicare. The office workers of DeBary Dentistry are masters at this. After my time in the chair, Crystal did her magic at the computer, patiently searching with determination and finding every benefit possible. I left after paying LESS than I was notified that the cost would be. Now where and how often does that happen? -Just one more reason I appreciate and recommend DeBary Dentistry.

I have three teeth that have been bothering me for years. I have been treated for a long time in Beijing but they have not been cured. I’ll be honest, I’ve never liked the dentist. This place is different. I felt welcome and safe and everything was explained in detail to let me know what is happening. My technician, Catherine, spent extra time cleaning my teeth so I wouldn’t have to worry about scheduling a cleaning later on. She was patient and friendly. they literally saved my life !!! after calling all dentists around all of fl they weren't excepting anyone due to the holidays coming up I went in and the lady's at the desk were very nice and outgoing they took x ray and sure enough tooth number 14 was cracked with 3 nerves sticking out definitely had to get pulled but due to them being full it was looking difficult to get me in and have it extracted they didn't turn me down it wasn't a matter of insurance or cash they were very full but they took care of the situation known I was rolling around in pain (literally rolling in pain ) but they helped me !!! 1# dentist in all fl and let me till u that was one big Moller! God bless this dentistry and all there awesome staff great job guys talk about professional!! recommended 100%

I can’t say enough good things about my visit today to DeBary Dentistry. Dr. Drew & his assistant Kristy took the time to explain, step-by-step, my crown replacement procedure. I used to be a skeptic about this group but my opinion has changed.

My husband and I moved to Debary last year. We made appointments here because the office was close to our home!!! Even if this office was not close we’d be patients!!!!! Love the office!!! Dr. Drew and staff are fantastic!!! Very happy patients!!!! Highly recommended!!!!!!😀👍

New patient, called because of a partial filling falling out Saturday night. They got me right in at 9 AM, this after me calling and waiting for my dentist of 20 + years to call me back from 7 AM. Thought just a simple repair of the filling, but NOT. Turns out I had a crack in the tooth which created the loss of my tooth when filing out the old filling. So, I ended up with my first crown, and I'm very please with the work done. Dr drew was very patient with me, and talked me through the complete procedure.(thank you). Staff was very professional and just all around awesome. Looking for a new dentist office - would highly recommend this one!

My husband went in this morning for the first time, as we just moved to Debary. Office staff was very pleasant and Dentist Peter Kelly was wonderful. He was patient and kind. He listened to our concerns and helped get us a dental treatment plan that we could afford. His dental assistant was incredibly sweet as well, missing her lunch to fit us in �
Steven Calhoun, DDS
Dr. Steven Calhoun was born and raised in Austin, Texas, and attended high school in Florida. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida, graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. Dr. Calhoun graduated from the University of Florida College of Dentistry, where he was involved in the Christian Dental and Medical Association and the Psi Omega National Dental Fraternity. Dr. Calhoun is also a member of the American Dental Association and the Florida Dental Association.
Dr. Calhoun understands there is a person attached to every tooth he is working on and strives to make sure every patient is comfortable, informed, and satisfied with their entire treatment process.
He was recently married in January 2020 and is enjoying newly-wed life with his wife, Jamie. He enjoys international travel, cooking with his wife, and working out to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Mark Wells, DMD
Dr. Mark Wells is originally from south Florida, where he lived until moving to Orlando to attend the University of Central Florida. After receiving a degree in Microbiology and Molecular Biology, he went on to pursue a master's degree and subsequently a doctoral degree at Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine. Dr. Wells is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and the Academy of Laser Dentistry.
Dr. Wells strives to provide his patients with compassionate care, evidence-backed knowledge, and a support system that encourages optimal oral health. He hopes to cultivate an office experience that is comfortable, interactive, and educational for the entire community.
When he isn't practicing dentistry, Dr. Wells enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife, two young daughters, and the dog. He likes watching college football, hiking, and fishing.
